Hello everyone! I have a Mars 2 Pro and I'm having trouble printing large surfaces, like mini bases. I print pretty much everything with ease. But, when I try to print some mini bases, on the plate, they warp and become kinda round on the plate contact. Then the contact with the plate becomes much smaller than the contact with the FEP and it sticks to the FEP. Is there a way to reduce this effect or should I just print it sideways rather than on the plate?

2022.01.16 19:11 ShinyShinx789 Is it just me who finds warming up difficult?

Today, I tried to warm up before going into ranked so I played some quick matches. Beat an Armor King then got kicked. Went to quick matches instead since other people wouldn't ready up against me and lost to a 14k Lei and asuka. Went back to player match and lost to a lili. Decided not to play ranked.

2022.01.16 19:11 Esamgrady 5.x text issues

I'm using 5.0.2 and a custom font I use frequently is now becoming italic every time I change the font from the default to the custom font. This is getting really annoying as I work with a lot of text boxes and having to change it back to non italic every time is tedious. Is there a way to get the text to default to non italic?

2022.01.16 19:11 Markdd8 What technological improvements can be made to Electronic Monitoring (EM), to control offenders?

The topic is political, with many critics objecting to intrusive EM. This discussion will try to avoid that aspect. We can exclude topics like shocking EM wearers who violate rules.
According to this Oct. 2021 article, the San Francisco's Sheriff's Dept. reports one third of EM wearers are either cutting off their ankle monitors or ignoring their "geofenced exclusion zone.* A Sept. 2017 article provides other details: Decades later, electronic monitoring of offenders is still prone to failure. Excerpts:

...the LA Times, found that “batteries died early, cases, cracked, tampering alerts failed, and reported locations were off by as much as three miles”. Parolees were able to thwart the devices by covering them in tinfoil or going indoors. Parole officers were inundated with as many as a thousand alerts per day...Electronic monitoring (also) causes problems for the wearers of the devices as well, (example)...false positive alerts...
False readings and most other problems are resolvable. We are now inventing cars and planes that can drive/fly themselves. This OP will focus on the two primary problems:
1) EM wearers cutting off ankle monitors. The ankle monitors are light, with a small strap, affording comfortable wearing for the offender. A solution would require more robust construction, possibly with a metal band, which would increase the weight. (3 pounds would probably be the maximum weight that one could reasonably put on an offender's ankle.)
Cutting will always be possible; the objective is to make it more difficult. We will want an EM device to register and signal it is being vandalized, and send out an alert. Device removal could be regarded as a serious offense that would warrant sending out a police officer or a drone. (Violating a prescribed zone might not justify such a response.)
A GPS monitor could be strapped to someone's shoulders (flat device sits on chest) but the long straps by necessity could not be too thick. Might be a limitation. A GPS monitor placed in a ring around the offender's neck should not be ruled out. An option like this could be robust, up to 2 inches in diameter (encased in soft felt for the comfort of the wearer.) Such a version would be much more difficult to cut off, and require assistance of a second person, the cutter.
A heavier monitor provides the benefit of a longer lasting battery. If EM devices are enabled to apply some sort of incapacitation function (below), the batteries will have to be powerful.
2) EM wearers ignoring their prescribed zones. Today the solution is some sort of alternative punishment after the fact, e.g., prison. One objective is for the EM device to apply some sort of Incapacitation effect. (We will not discuss application of unpleasant Deterrent/Dissuasion measures.)
Can an EM device be constructed that can limit or prevent the wearer's movement? This somewhat cryptic article on control of psychiatric patients in Europe refers to a "knee lock" that halt an absconding person's movement. The article cites the lock works with "electronic tagging" -- the common European term for EM. The article provides little detail. A google search for more info comes up empty. Might this be an option?
(Let's not get into the future of GPS tags neural implants/controls placed in human bodies. Topic is too politicized.)
Any other options that might work? What about the use of magnets that can be remotely activated? One is on the EM ankle device, the other on the opposite ankle. A violation triggers magnetic attraction, and limits leg movement. (Some of the links on this page) suggest Electromagnets can be turned off and on. I have zero knowledge on this.
Are there other options for remote incapacitation of an EM wearer? Obviously, such remote application has to be done with care: If an EM wearer is crossing a busy street, and is suddenly remotely incapacitated -- the problem is obvious. The future of crime control will likely see a large expansion of drones that will work in concert with EM controls. We can expect that if an EM system would send out a drone in the event of either of two serious scenarios:
1) The system registers an EM device in the process of being cut off. A drone will attempt to locate the offender before the removal is complete.
2) A human operator working with the system elects to impose a "remote incapacitation." Protocol: Send a drone out to the location to attempt to make visual contact to ensure safety is maintained. (Yes, in many places like cities, sending out a drone is unlikely to make any visual contact -- offender is in a building. Exact location can't be pinpointed).
The second links notes that EM has been around since the 1980s. We are now into the fifth decade of EM technology. It seems high time to improve the technology.

2022.01.16 19:11 nick5168 (SPOILER!) A very short theory regarding the discussion between some important people in the official translation.

Hi guys, long time lurker - first time poster.
There have been a lot of discussions about the devil fruit that the Gorosei's talking about. Personally I don't think they are talking about the Gomu Gomu no mi, as Oda has stated, that he wanted the protagonist to have a seemingly bad power, that only he could make full use of.
I originally thought they were talking about Zunesha, as the panels aligned, but upon reading the official translation, I realise that the WG official isn't reporting to the Gorosei about spotting Zunesha. Instead he is talking to the other WG ships.
This leads me to believe that the Gorosei don't know about Zuneshas arrival, and instead they are talking about a fruit that the CP0 have told them about.
I personally think it is the Kibi Kibi no mi. I don't have a any proof for this theory, but I just think that the idea of this fruit awakening would be enough to terrify any government. If the base power is the control of potentially any animal or monster in the world, just imagine what the awakening could do. We might see a DF user able to control humans - truly frightening potential if you ask me.
There could be other fruits, as the Gorosei are talking about a fruit that has yet to be awakened, and most of the DFs on Onigashima are yet to be awakened.
But giving Luffy a special fruit takes a lot of his character away from him IMO. One of my favorite things about Luffy has always been his ability to overcome adversity. If he ends up becoming PK just because he always had the strongest fruit of them all, then it dilutes the story for me. Kinda like how the Nazis always would have died when they opened the ark in Indiana Jones, and Jones being there ended up not doing anything.
What are your thoughts?

2022.01.16 19:10 uc_boi Is is possible to be in ID if you hate sketching/drawing?

i’m sure that question won’t be received well by the community but bear with me
i am currently a first year student and i have learned the basics of drawing and whatnot but drawing is extremely difficult for me. everyone preaches that i just need to keep practising (which i do occasionally) but i feel this irrational overwhelming hatred toward it.
i love 3D software and i am really interested in furniture design (i actually have some quick sketches of some ideas i have) and i really excel in those programs and the ideation process and everything so far EXCEPT drawing.
i had a professor tell us that ‘if you don’t like drawing or sketching then you might want to consider something else.’ that is something i found alarming considering my general dislike for it.
i don’t think i chose the wrong path because i think product design is very interesting and i want to pursue furniture design but sketching is not something i think i will learn to love and i was hoping for input if it’s doable if i never learn to love it.
my current portfolio is +85% digital and modelling work.

2022.01.16 19:10 bredn (14M) my forearm being a little weird

I'm 14, male, united states, white, with no real medical issues and i don't drink/smoke. I do, however, jitter click for a video game, and this requires you to tense up the muscles in your forearm to create a vibration. I have been doing it for a while now. When I was doing chin-ups, i noticed there was something sticking out a little further than I felt natural, and it only happened to the arm I jittered on. After stopping, about half an hour later it started to feel weird and hurt a bit. I have a video linked demonstrating it. Any thoughts?

2022.01.16 19:10 Tapy0n Overlay for Colour Blind People in Games or just partially?

Overlay for Colour Blind People in Games or just partially? Hi,
my name is Roman and I have a strong weakness for red and green, specially red I think. Many Programms and Games have no additional options for colorblind people like me, so in some situations it is not possible for me to get the right input.

Currently I am playing Assetto Corsa Competizione and I am not able to make a difference in the tyre colors, when they are getting hot and lose grip.

Here an example:

I tried out to use the windows filter options, and it seems that the settings for Protanopie work best (of the thre choices). The problem is, that the whole game looks awefull when I use this setting.

So I am looking for an Overlay which works for all Programms and Games to make individueal corrections for myself or .... if that is not possible to set the Protanopie filter just for an sepcific region on the screen, so just the tyres are filtered and not the whole screen.

Do you have any support for me?
