2022.01.16 18:49 troutman87 How did you know when it was working?
I started 150xl once a day to first treat depression causes by untreated adhd. Its bee almost 2 weeks now taking this.
I have noticed im not as irritable as usual, not nearly as hungry anymore. Still have no drive, just feel neutral almost. Can still get worked up easy but its not as drastic.
Bow did you know it was working for you?

2022.01.16 18:49 Persianx6 What was the worst or most bizarre decision of the prior Trump administration
...After hearing about the Tsunami warnings, I'm remembering how horribly Trump ended up managing the impact of that Hurricane in Puerto Rico and how he tried to politicize making a fund for California in the wake of one of our annual "largest wildfires on record."
Let's all do a mass remembering session of why this president sucked.

2022.01.16 18:49 joeker66 Question about pools
Hi I’m new to balancer pools and specifically BeethovenX on FTM which is a fork. Question: if I enter a pool that has 8 assets at 12.5% each, Is it actually buying each of these tokens? Is the idea that if I deposit 1000 FTM it will buy 125 FTM equivalent of each? And then the idea is when I want to cash out it will be FTM equivalent value of all the tokens within at the time? Thank you!

Claire was CEO of Pritchett’s Closets.
Phil had his own Real Estate company, his parking lot and his magic shop.
Alex had that high paying job after college.
Yet they are still portrayed as the middle school family they were at the start of the show.
Please tell me if i’m wrong.

2022.01.16 18:49 Spokesface1 Long ass story about a really frustrating squid
A few days ago my wife asked me if I could fix a bubble machine shaped like a squid which I had previously repaired successfully. When my daughter sees it, she excitedly exclaimes “Bubbo” so that is how I will be referring to him from now on.
I got around to fixing Bubbo today, grabbed a screwdriver for the battery compartment, and as I suspected, the batteries were dead. More specifically, they had gotten wet and rusted, leaking rusty acid around.
This happens a lot with my daughter’s toys and I was ready with a spray bottle of alcohol and an old toothbrush to fix it. Except it didn’t fix Bubbo, after scrubbing and replacing the batteries I still had no electricity. So I had to open him up. Maybe two things went wrong at once.
Inside there was no clear indication of what might be wrong, no loose wires, no scorch marks or signs of damage, no more rust. So I needed a multimeter, I suspected the switch. Oddly though, My multimeter did not seem to have a continuity function. Or at least I couldn’t find it.
Now, we are at the complicated part, because you, the reader, will be thinking one of three totally different things depending on who you are, and I agree with all of you. Many of you are wondering “Why am I reading this? This is getting long, and very technical, and I came here for a cute story about a bubble squid!” I hear you. You’re right. Just trust me, I have a point. And I will explain all the technical stuff. Also it gets longer. That’s part of the point. Go with it.
Some of you are thinking “A multimeter without a continuity function??? What an outrage!” and I agree. Continuity testing is the most basic function of any electrical diagnostic device, essentially the tool in my hand was less functional than a test lamp. It’d be like a multidriver that doesn’t do philips head. But this one was from harbor freight, and it was one of those giveaways free with purchase, so I guess they didn’t spring for the little buzzer that the other settings don’t need.
The final group of you are thinking “So what? Does it have a resistance function? Just use that, and see if Ω>1” and I know, and I did. I was able to confirm the switch works fine. But for testing other stuff it was too hard. Bubbo is cheaply manufactured and the contacts are quite small and close together. It was hard to use two hands on leads, and keep one eye on the screen to read the resistance and another eye on the contacts to make sure I didn’t slip and test the wrong thing. I needed a better tool.
Now, I actually own a better multimeter. The Harbor Freight one was not my first entre into the electrical world. But the batteries died on my nicer one because I accidently left it on and forgot about it, and I didn’t know how to change them or what batteries it would take. There is no compartment, I’d have to take it apart and I didn’t know how. So it’s been sitting in my project box while the cheap spare got promoted.
So what could I do? I dug up the good multimeter and began the process of learning how to replace the batteries in that device so that I could continue trying to figure out why I couldn’t replace the batteries in Bubbo.
It was tricky. For one, I didn’t have much space to work, so I had to try to keep the screws from the multimeter separate from the screws from Bubbo, It had like a rubber bumper over it like you would see in a cell phone protector that I had to carefully pry off, and then get into, after which I learned that it took a 9 volt battery, not a watch battery like I had feared.
Luckily I had a 9v laying around, and I was able to get the better multimeter back together and start testing in earnest. With the switch working I tested the whole system and found continuity, so I knew the problem was in the battery pack. Then I tested parts of the packs and found that the very last lead was not conducting. It had been rusty, and when I cleaned It I must have left a bump that was high enough to block connection. So: better cleaning for that lead.
I went and looked for a small wire brush instead of a toothbrush but I couldn’t find it, so I got a old barbecue brush, and a Dremel tool with a brush head (same as a toothbrush but i could run it at high RPM) but to really fix the thing I would have to expose the lead more. Pull it out of the plastic box that held the batteries. And doing that, meant bending and pushing on the contact from the other side where the red wire was just barely tenuously attached. If I wasn’t careful, I would have to pull out my solder gun.
I carefully bent the contact, and pushed the lead out enough to clean it. Went at it with the Q brush and then the dremel and a lot more alcohol. And got it pretty clean. Then I left it to dry, made dinner for myself, pushed it back in, and promptly broke the connection to the red wire on the other side. So I went to get the soldering gun…
Well I found that no problem, but I couldn’t find my solder. I own at least 2 spools of solder somewhere, but neither was anywhere to be found. So I spent a couple hours cleaning the garage so that I could find my solder so that I could solder the contact to the red wire on the stupid squid and test it with my new fixed multimeter before putting it all back together again.
And if you are normal, you are probably wondering “is it worth it?” like, at what point do you give up and just buy a new stupid squid? The thing can’t be more than like $10 and here I as a reader feel like I deserve class credit toward my electrical engineering degree just to read this story! And once again you are very very right, I was only supposed to replace the batteries. But here’s the thing:
Everything is like this. Every last thing. We literally decided to go eat the other day at 2pm and afterwards I tried to go to the bank and they were closed because it was 5:15. Nothing went wrong, just by the time we traded off watching the baby while we got ready and then got her ready and then drove there and then ordered our food and then got it and then ate it… it took 3 hours. And If I just gave up on the things that were too hard, I would spend all day starting things and then giving up and I would get literally nothing done. This way I get one thing done. I get Bubbo working. Something my wife actually asked for. Something my daughter actually notices. And along the way I maybe make the next project easier because now I have a working good multimeter and a cleaner garage.
I feel like this is a reality for many of us. Since this pandemic when two or three extra challenges were added to all of our daily lives and nothing else got any easier, and we all got tired, and we all are 3 years older than we used to be, every, single, thing, has become a struggle. And speaking for myself, the only way I know how to get through it is with an absurd, even irrational, level of tenacity and refusal to quit at even the most unreasonable challenges.
I dunno I hope this helps I guess.
Go fix the stupid squids in your life. I believe in you.

2022.01.16 18:49 WasHereIsTaken Horrible internet
Internet is super slow
I recently moved houses and this isp said I’d get around 25mbps. I thought that was cool and all but when they installed it I was getting around 1k ping at the minimum. I called several complaints but they didn’t do anything. is their anything I can do too improve my connecting or my ping? The only internet I can get around here is satellite or I can go with att and get 1 mbps.
(I’m using Hughesnet)

I am buying an ASIC just to fool around with, and wanted to know if it's possible to mine to an unmineable Bitcoin account using cgminer? It looks like cgminer only supports stratum, and I can't find any documentation online about getting cgminer and unmineable working together.
Can anyone provide some insight? Is this even possible with cgminer and unmineable?
